We buried identity cards...not sure if excessive state power has ended, but I'm with the Coalition government as far as civil liberties go. New Labour were on a road to nowhere with ID cards. Nice that Laura gives us a mention in her weekly column. I voted for her in the last election, from overseas at a cost of 85 pounds via DHL! In the end, she didn't need my tactical vote, but I'm glad I made the effort...
